About Us
The Formation of the Central Travancore Region (CTR) of Y's Men International, India Area during th Y'sdom Year 2021-22 marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Y'sdom in Central Travancore. The Region was established with six districts and 65 clubs in good standing, providing a strong platform for fellowship, service, and leadership.
Our Network
The Region was ably led by its first Regional Director, Ym. George Daniel, and Lieutenant Regional Director, Ym. Shaji Poocheril. In District 1, the inaugural District Governor, Ym. PWAF. Gopu Karingattil, laid a strong foundation by fostering unity among clubs and setting high standards for service and organizational excellence even in the midst of Covid pandemic. District 1, at it's primary year started with three good standing clubs and 5 other clubs.
Under the leadership of Regional Director Ym. Prof. Koshy Thomas and Lieutenant Regional Director Ym. Er. P. A. Mathews, the Region expanded its service initiatives and strengthened club activities. District 1 was guided by the District Governor Ym. PWAF. Adv. Aby Thomas, whose dedicated leadership enhanced club participation, membership engagement, and community service projects, contributing significantly to the Region's growth. This year, all the eight clubs became good standing, thus paved a platform to it's growth. For the dedicated service to the progress of District 1, the first ever ELMER CROWE award was presented to Ym. PWAF. Adv Aby Thomas, thus becoming the first District Governor to receive this prestigious award in this District.
The Region continued its upward journey under Regional Director Ym. Adv. Jacob Varghese and Lieutenant Regional Director of Zone 1, Ym. Er. Jacob Mathew. In District 1, District Governor Ym. PWAF. Binu Variath led the district with enthusiasm and commitment and strengthening the spirit of fellowship among members. With eight good standing clubs, he added four new clubs and revived another club constituting the total number of Clubs to 13. For his tireless effort for the growth in District 1, Ym. PWAF. Binu Variyath was awarded the prestigious EMER CROWE from the Y's men International.
With Regional Director Ym. CA Francis Abraham and Lieutenant Regional Director Ym. PWAF. Dr. Vinod Raj at the helm, the Region witnessed sustained progress. District 1 flourished under the stewardship of District Governor Ym. PWAF. Mathew Mathirampalil, whose leadership focused on strengthening clubs, promoting membership growth, and enhancing service-oriented programmes. He added one more club to District 1 and maintained the steady growth in District 1 for which Ym. PWAF. Mathew Mathirampallil was awarded the prestigious ELMER CROWE from the Y's Men International.
The Y'sdom Year 2025-26 was led by Regional Director Ym. PWAF. Dr. Rajesh V and Lieutenant Regional Director of Zone 1, Ym. PWAF. Murali Das Sagar. In District 1, District Governor Ym. Jacob Vaidyan guided the district to new levels of achievement through effective leadership, vibrant club activities, and strengthened community outreach programmes. Ym. PWAF Jacob Vaidyan's team sponsored the Fifteenth Club, an International Club in Abu Dhabi to District 1. This year has shown the true Troica spirit supporting all activities in District 1.
As the Central Travancore Region enters its 6th Y'sdom Year, it stands as a testimony to sustained growth and collective effort. From its beginning with 65 clubs, the Region has now grown to 85 clubs, including 80 clubs in good standing, with a membership strength of 1,437.
The Region is presently led by Regional Director Yw. MHR. Dr. Leela Gopeekrishna and Lieutenant Regional Director of Zone 1, Ym. PWAF. Adv. Aby Thomas, while District 1 is under the dynamic leadership of District Governor Ym. Rahul S. Kumar. With a clear vision, dedicated leadership, and the active participation of its members, District 1 continues to play a pivotal role in the progress and success of the Central Travancore Region.
From its modest beginnings in 2021, the Central Travancore Region has evolved into one of the most vibrant and rapidly growing regions of Y's Men International India Area. Throughout this journey, District 1 has remained a vital pillar of strength, contributing significantly to the Region's achievements through exemplary leadership, committed membership, and unwavering dedication to the ideals of service, fellowship, and leadership. As the Region moves forward, District 1 stands ready to continue its proud tradition of excellence and service to society.
Dedicated to Service & Fellowship
Led by inaugural District Governor Ym. PWAF. Gopu Karingattil, District 1 established a strong foundation during the pandemic with three good standing clubs and five others.
Under District Governor Ym. PWAF. Adv. Aby Thomas, the Region expanded its initiatives and brought all eight clubs to good standing, earning the first ELMER CROWE award.
District Governor Ym. PWAF. Binu Variath enthusiastically expanded District 1 to 13 clubs, earning the prestigious ELMER CROWE award for his tireless efforts.
Stewardship under District Governor Ym. PWAF. Mathew Mathirampalil focused on membership growth, adding a new club and securing another ELMER CROWE award.
Guided by District Governor Ym. Jacob Vaidyan, District 1 reached new heights by sponsoring its fifteenth club, an International Club in Abu Dhabi.
Under the dynamic leadership of District Governor Ym. Rahul S. Kumar, District 1 continues its pivotal role in the Region's sustained growth to 85 clubs.
District Operational Planner (July 2026 - June 2027)
Planning Session
The Pre Installation Meeting serves as the official planning session before the District Governor Installation Ceremony. It brings together District Cabinet Members and senior leaders to review programmes, finalize responsibilities, and coordinate the activities for the upcoming administrative year. The meeting ensures that the new leadership team begins its term with a shared vision, clear direction, and a strong commitment to the mission of Y's Men International.
Installation Ceremony
The District Governor Installation Ceremony marks the official commencement of a new leadership year in Y's Men International. It is a prestigious occasion where the incoming District Governor formally assumes office, presenting the vision and goals for the year while inspiring members to strengthen fellowship, expand service initiatives, and work together toward creating a lasting impact in their communities. The ceremony celebrates leadership, unity, and the continued commitment to the ideals of Y's Men International.
